YOGA IS THE SACRED practice which will UNITE your BODY, with your MIND and ultimately, your SOUL. It means "To Yuj"- to bring together and to join in HARMONY. To bring harmony into your LIFE, we must learn how to first~DETACH~ from everything that does not serve us in a nourishing way. We do this by QUIETING the mind and relinquishing THOUGHTS. Yoga will ASSIST you in ACHIEVING this through a series of yoga postures, called asana, INFUSING precise breathing techniques called pranayam or pranayama, as well as a variety of additional HEALING modalities, such as bandhas (internal energy locks), mudras (yoga positions of the hands and fingers, which create an energetic seal in the body), chakra toning (energy centers located along the spine) and nadis alignment (chanels of energy which flow between the chakras), and incorporate them into the yoga session. Students then are able to not only MANIFEST a WELL BALANCED, WELL TONED, FLEXIBILE BODY, but will ultimately feel a profound sense of EMOTIONAL and SPIRITUAL WELL BEING, because they will have incorporated the philosophies of this sacred practice into their daily lives. Practicioners of yoga know the key to the fulfillment in all aspects of their lives because they have DISCOVERED that in taking the 1 or 2 hours out of their busy day to detach from the busy thoughts will make them more PRODUCTIVE and TRANSFORM their thoughts into more USEFUL channels of energy. This newly discovered energy gives them the VITAL TOOLS that they need to create a HARMONIOUS LIFE! Leading a life that is filled with PEACE, with HARMONY, with a light hearted sense of LAUGHTER and with LOVE is the very ultimate path of ENLIGHTENMENT and is a worthwhile endeavor, indeed!
